*ACUPRESSURE POINT FOR STRESS RELIEF*

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupressure point K27 on your chest is a very effective point for calming psychological states of stress, worry, anxiety, agitation, depression. It can be beneficial in relieving throat pain, chest congestion and back pain, breathing difficulties and thyroid gland irregularities. K27’s also open up your ability to breath deeply, which is key to releasing endorphin's- the neuro-chemicals that relieve pain.

LOCATE THE POINT:

To find K27 acupressure points- place your fingertips below your collarbone and just outside the breast bone/ sternum. Rub with firm pressure, feeling for an indentation and tenderness. There is one located on both sides of the sternum.

These points can be stimulated as often as necessary. When they are tender, they are in need of attention. Massaging with gentle pressure in a rotating or circular movement is a technique that can be used as often as you need. Doing so while breathing mindfully and deeply for 15-30 seconds or until and tenderness or pain dissipates.

TIP: Stimulate in the morning before rising for a more energized and smooth day.
